DETECTIVES are seeking witnesses to an assault during which a 14-year-old boy was punched in the face and hit on the head with a bottle.

The incident happened in Dane John Gardens at Canterbury at around 9.30pm last Friday.

The victim was treated in hospital in Margate for cuts to his head.

A 19-year-old man from Canterbury has been arrested in connection with the assault and bailed to return to police on the November 21.
