Kent Fire and Rescue Service cut free woman and child from vehicle after road crash in Bekesbourne Road, Bridge

A woman and child have been taken to hospital after a two-car crash near Canterbury.

Two fire engines attended the scene finding them trapped inside their vehicle in Bekesbourne Road, Bridge at 8.20pm last night.

The vehicle was stabilised and glass was removed before firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to remove the roof under guidance from paramedics.

Both casualties were taken to hospital by South East Coast Ambulance Service after being removed from the vehicle on spinal longboards.
