Kent Police investigate after woman assaulted near Park Wood Road, Kent University, Canterbury

An attack on a 20-year-old student in the early hours of Saturday morning is being described as a serious sexual assault.
The woman had been out for the evening at The Venue when she is believed to have been raped between 2am and 4.30am on Saturday.
The attack was on a path between The Venue and Parkwood Halls at the University of Kent at Canterbury.
The student was later found in a confused state by a member of the public, who got help for her.
Officers believe she may have been the victim of a serious sexual assault and have launched extensive enquiries.
DI Jon Holl is heading the investigation.
He said: "Clearly this is a very serious incident and we are following a number of lines of enquiry.
"We have seized CCTV and have cordoned off the area to allow forensic evidence to be gathered. We are also working closely with the University Campus Watch.

"At this stage we are not ruling out the possibility that the victim may have known the suspect, but it is important that we are able to piece together the events of the evening and I would ask anyone who may be able to help us with this investigation to come forward."
