A 28-YEAR-OLD woman has died in hospital in Canterbury from horrific knife injuries. Police believe her injuries were self-inflicted.

Officers were called to a flat in Copinger Close, off Long Meadow Way, at about 4pm yesterday.

The woman, who has not been named, was taken to the Kent & Canterbury Hospital where she died. Police say they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

The coroner is being informed and an inquest will be held.
