CANTERBURY returned to third place in National League 3 South after a maximum five-point win over struggling Luton.

London Scottish beat Ealing 20-3 to allow Danny Vaughan’s side to leapfrog the west Londoners and with four games left. Canterbury lie third, two points clear of fourth-placed Scottish and Ealing who lie fifth, level on points with the Exiles.

Skipper Chris Hinkins, fit-again Jamie Forsyth and Mike Melford scored first-half tries as the city club went in 17-15 ahead at the break.

Melford’s second and scores from Pat Sykes and Kieron Lewitt made the game safe and De Kock crossed late on and converted three of the scores to end with 11 points.
