Canterbury v Teddington

CANTERBURY Hockey Club will hope to reproduce the form they showed against Reading when they continue their EHL campaign at home to Teddington on Sunday (start 1pm).

Stewart Keir's side became the first to beat Reading this season with their superb 3-1 success in Berkshire last weekend, and victory against Teddington would give them a good chance of climbing out of the relegation places.

An injury to Trinidadian playmaker Brian Garcia, who broke his little finger in two places after falling awkwardly at Reading, is likely to rule him out for six weeks but Canterbury expect to be otherwise unchanged.

The ladies,still chasing a play-off spot, face a busy weekend, travelling to Clifton on Saturday before returning to Polo Farm on Sunday for a re-arranged game against Doncaster (start 11am).

The fixture should have taken place last weekend but was postponed due to snow.
