Ada Gower has confirmed he will be staying in charge at Canterbury City next season.

He has already started planning ahead, despite still having three more Southern Counties East League games to play in their current campaign.

Gower said: “I have spoken to the chairman Tim Clark and the board and everything is in place.

“I have also been talking to a couple of people about coming in as coach or assistant manager but won’t know for sometime as they are with other clubs at the moment.

“Steven Lloyd has been helping me, but has got a new job which means he has to work on Saturdays.

“Duncan Adams, another member of my team, is also staying.”

City, who have dropped to 13th after five games without a win, play for the first time since Easter Monday when they travel to Corinthian on Saturday.

They will be aiming to complete the double over the Fawkham-based club, having beaten them 3-0 at home in February.
Gower added: “Our season has tailed off, but I am looking to get four points from the three remaining matches.”

City host Greenwich Borough next Wednesday. (7.45pm).
