Canterbury Ladies are celebrating finished top of the Investec National Premier Division for the first time in club history on Saturday.

A 2-0 win at Clifton in their season finale on Saturday afternoon saw the Polo Farm side finish a point clear of Reading, and secured their place in Europe for next season.

Nikki Lloyd put the visitors ahead at the Bristol side after 10 minutes and Kim Young grabbed the crucial second midway through the second-half to ensure Canterbury are top-seeds in the Championship play-offs which are held on April 12/13 at Reading.

They will renew acquaintances with Clifton in the semi-final after the Bristol side finished fourth in the table, with perennial title-chasers Reading and Surbiton facing-off in the other last-four clash.
