Canterbury Ladies drew for the fourth week running in the Women’s Premier Division after being held at home by Clifton.

The 2-2 draw leaves them seventh in the table after four matches.

Clifton had taken a two goal lead in the match and Carys Hopkins had put the visitors ahead after just three minutes. A second goal from open play on 52 minutes doubled their advantage.

Canterbury hit back, however, with two goals of their own from open play. Just before the hour mark Cathy Gilliat-Smith netted and on 70 minutes Cindy Botha levelled the scores.

Two second half goals sealed the win for Sevenoaks at St Albans.

Caroline Crawford scored the first after 43 minutes and the second came on the hour with a strike from Anna Graham.
