Canterbury secured their fourth consecutive Kent Cup win after a storming come back against Blackheath at Cranbrook on Sunday.

The Londoners raced into an 18-11 lead before the interval with tries from Ovie Koloko and Steve Hamilton and two penalty kicks and a conversion from Peter Squires.

Canterbury’s sole try of the first half came from No.8 Neil Meyer while Kieron Lewitt kicked two penalties.

However after the break the city club managed to increase their share of the possession and used their forward power to good effect to pile incesant pressure onto the superb Heath defence until they cracked.

Canterbury scored 17 unanswered points to seal the win with Meyer and Andy Pratt scoring further tries and Lewitt kicking two conversions and a drop goal on his last appearance for the club before relocating to the west country.

Matt Pinnock was another to make his last appearance in a Canterbury shirt before leaving for New Zealand the following day.
