Sevenoaks rose to third in the Kent Cricket League Premier Division after beating Sandwich by five runs.

Having opted to bat, visitors Sevenoaks finished on 261-8 thanks to half-centuries from both skipper Luke Schlemmer and Kent's Adam Rouse.

Sandwich fell short on 256-8 in reply despite an opening stand worth 101 from Zack Fagg (52) and Finley Beaman (82).

Openers John Bowden (32) and Christopher Vernon (22) started positively for Sevenoaks before the former was bowled by Jan Gray (4-34).

Alex Smith claimed the wickets of both Vernon and Michael Barber (10), paving the way for an 82-run partnership between Schlemmer (73) and Rouse (52).

Rouse was eventually caught by Jordan Cox off the bowling Gray, who struck again to dismiss Schlemmer thanks to a catch behind the stumps from Cameron Fletcher.

Miles Richardson added 36 to Sevenoaks' tally as they reached 261-8 off 50 overs.

Fagg (52) and Beaman (82) mounted a strong reply until the former was caught by Bowden off the bowling from Andrew Reid-Dick (4-36).

Tom Chapman went for 28 after being bowled by Schlemmer, who then caught Cox for 26 to give Reid-Dick another wicket.

Fletcher was sent back for a duck moments later, followed by Beaman as he was run out by Vernon to leave Sandwich on 207-5.

Smith (18) and Rory Smith (17) continued the chase, only for their side to run out of overs just six runs away from victory.

Canterbury lost by 93 runs in their meeting with Bickley Park.

Bickley posted 246 all out after electing to bat, with keeper Safwaan Imitiaz leading the way on 82 having hit his half-century from 56 balls.

They limited Canterbury to 153 all out in reply following a top score of 72 from Bradley Goldsack.

After losing openers Alex Fullarton (16) and Alex Moen (19), Bickley were boosted by a third-wicket partnership of 85 between Alex Darroch (39) and Imitiaz.

The dismissal of Darroch, caught by Jemuel Cabey off the bowling of Oliver Hills, was followed by a knock of 26 from Daniel Magin, until he was caught by Goldsack off skipper Isaac Dilkes.

Dilkes caught and bowled Imitiaz for 82, before Adeel Malik contributed 24 as Bickley finished on 246.

Canterbury's reply reached 37 without loss until Dilkes was caught by Darroch off the bowling of Ranjit Singh (3-11).

Goldsack mustered 72 from 110 deliveries but saw six wickets fall while at the crease as Canterbury were bowled out for a score of 153 that included eight single-digit scores.

Beckenham continued their hunt for top spot with an eight-wicket victory over Lordswood.

Having elected to bat, Lordswood lost an early wicket when Linden Lockhart edged behind to James Balmforth off the bowling of Stuart Binny.

Jack Laraman struggled to make headway and was run out by Binny’s accurate return.

Kent's Sean Dickson (26), batting steadily, was unable to dominate the bowling before Will MacVicar (3-23) rearranged the stumps of Ed Taylor and Mike French in successive balls to make it 42-4.

Beckenham skipper Alex Senn (3-23) struck with his first delivery as Dickson swung his first ball behind to leg and into the hands of Binny.

MacVicar struck again to trap Lordswood captain Chris Piesley leg before without score.

Keeper Shaun Piesley (19 not out) combined with Brendan Conradie but the latter was bowled by Senn and, on the last ball of the over, Hugh Scott was run out by Dan Hardy’s direct hit.

Taylor Chandler helped Piesley add 21 runs before holing out to Mahi Mahfuzul, with Senn having James Murphy caught behind as Lordswood finished 85 all out.

The Beckenham reply began with new opener Hardy joining Senn against the all spin attack of Scott and Piesley.

Replacing Piesley after three overs, Laraman then removed both Hardy (15) and MacVicar.

Kent's Alex Blake (29 not out) joined Senn (33 not out) at 41-2, hitting four sixes to lead Beckenham to a winning score of 88-2 off 19.1 overs.

Bexley retained their spot at the top of the division with a six-wicket win over Blackheath.

Invited to bat, Blackheath lost opener Dipayan Paul lbw to Alexander Hill for 19 before George Wells, caught by Calum MacLeod off the bowling of Freddie Foster, went for 29 to leave his side on 81-2.

Tanweer Sikandar (31) was next to depart, giving Foster his second wicket of the day courtesy of a catch from Matt Cross.

Charlie-Sid Speller added another 35 until he hit Hill's delivery into the hands of Jason Benn, who picked up 3-24 himself as Blackheath were bowled out for 181.

Jahid Ahmed (3-53) did his best to limit Bexley's reply, trapping Cross lbw for three and dismissing Calum Basey for 11 via a catch from Basit Ahmed.

Matthew Stiddard contributed 37 until he was bowled by Mohammad Ashraful and MacLeod worked his way to 54 before he was caught by Basit Ahmed off the bowling of Jahid Ahmed.

Shaun Evans (27 not out) and George Haley (24 not out) reached 185-4 to seal the win for Bexley.

HSBC beat Tunbridge Wells by three wickets after bowling their opponents out for 115.

Having chosen to bat, only two Tunbridge batsman hit double figures in opener Christopher Williams (48) and No.3 Christian Davis (41) as they collapsed from 64-1 to 80-7, and then 115 all out.

There were three wickets apiece for Nicholas Wheddon and Andrew Faulkner, with the former responsible for three ducks.

HSBC fell to 32-3 in reply after losing openers Sadiq Hassan (12) and Richard Golbourn (14), before Sam Perks hit a top score of 23.

Matt Abbett supplied 17 from 16 balls and the win was soon completed by Andrew Wright (15 not out).
