Hayley Brown had put Canterbury 3-1 up before the comeback

Ipswich Ladies 4 Canterbury Ladies

CANTERBURY Ladies suffered Women's Premier Division heartache as Ipswich scored twice in the final two minutes to snatch a 4-3 win.

Having gone behind to the home side's Jenny Hall early on, Canterbury had scored either side of half-time with two goals by international forward Cathy Gilliat-Smith.

Hayley Brown made it 3-1 in the 47th minute, but Hall pulled one back 10 minutes later and, after Lizzy Aldous had equalised, Hall completed her hat-trick to complete the comeback.

Canterbury had some consolation in a 3-0 win at Sunderland in the third round of the England Hockey Women’s Cup on Sunday.
