Canterbury Hockey Club Ladies player-coach Jen Wilson admits she has some tough selection decisions to make ahead of Saturday’s game with Beeston at Polo Farm (5pm).

Canterbury returned to the top of the Investec Women’s Premier Division with last weekend’s 2-0 win at Sutton Coldfield despite being without captain Grace Balsdon, Nikki Kidd and Nikki Lloyd, who were all away on international duty.

Wilson said: “We were pleased with the victory because Sutton Coldfield is always a difficult place to pick up points and we were missing a few players.

“But the positive to come out of it was that the players we brought in, Lizzie Neal, Sioned Fox and Hayley Turner, all stepped up to the mark and, with hopefully a full squad available again this week, it means I’ve got some tough selection decisions to make.”
