World leading fencer comes to Kent

CANTERBURY Fencing Club have pulled off a coup after enrolling one of the world’s leading exponents to help with coaching.

Russian fencer Elisaveta (Lisa) Gorst has won a host of major championship medals and holds one of her country’s top accolades, as an Honoured Master of Sports.

She has been Russian champion several times as well as enjoying considerable success in the European Championships, World Championships and Goodwill Games.

The 25-year-old, trainer to a club in Moscow, will arrive in December to help with a Christmas coaching camp.
