A man has been arrested after an assault in Rising Sun Harvester family restaurant yesterday afternoon.

A man has been arrested after an assault in a family restaurant yesterday afternoon.

Police were called to the Rising Sun Harvester in Dartford Road, Dartford, at 3.10pm to an allegation of an assault which left a man with head injuries.

It comes after a 25-year-old man was assaulted and then chased to the pub by a car.

The victim, from Dartford, was then assaulted again inside the restaurant. He was taken to Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, suffering head injuries.

Following an extensive search, a 23-year-old man, from Dartford, was arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and remains in police custody.

One witness who saw the attack said: "Two boys came running in the Harvester and had a fight. One of them beat the other boy with a lump of metal.

"He was quite badly beaten, there was lots of blood just dripping off him everywhere and it was in front of lots of kids who were very scared too.

"There were two ambulances, one police car and a helicopter there."
