A motorbike crash closed a section of the A2 this evening as the air ambulance landed on the carriageway.

The accident happened just after 5pm on the west bound carriageway at the Darenth interchange, after the exit slip road separates from the main carriageway.

Traffic was brought to a standstill by police to make a space for the helicopter to land.
