Police appeal for driver after child hit by car

Officers are appealing for witnesses to a collision which left a seven-year-old boy with multiple injuries.

Police say the boy was involved in a collision with a black Volkswagen Golf in Temple Hill Square, Dartford.

While the driver did initially stop to check on injuries, he is reported to have left the scene before details were exchanged.

It happened on Friday July 21 just before 2.30pm.

The driver had been travelling from the direction of St Vincent’s Road at the time of the crash, and is described as being black and around 5ft 11ins tall with a skinny build.

He is believed to be aged between 18 and 20 and was wearing a full grey tracksuit at the time.

The child was taken to hospital with head, wrist and hip injuries.
