Armed police seen in Chapel Drive, Stone, after reports a gun was fired through a window

Armed police are said to have swooped on a residential street after reports a gun had been fired through a glass door.

Officers say they are investigating a report of a "firearm being discharged" in Stone.

Nobody was injured in the incident, which happened at a residential complex in Chapel Drive between 10pm and 11pm last night.

The glass in an entrance door was smashed in the apparent shooting.

A witness said he saw two people on a motorbike fire shots into a window before armed police arrived.

A forensics team remains at the scene.

A police spokesman said: “Police are investigating a report of a firearm being discharged in Chapel Drive, Dartford, on the evening of Thursday, November 26.

“Nobody was injured in the incident and officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything between 10pm and 11pm last night. Call 101 quoting reference 26-1492.”
