Motorcyclist still in critical condition after New Year's Day crash in Dartford

A man remains in a critical condition after his motorbike collided with a parked vehicle.

Police are appealing for information after the motorcyclist was left with serious injuries after coming off his bike on New Year's Day.

The man in his 40s was taken to a London hospital after the collision with a parked vehicle in Watling Street in Dartford, close to the junction with The Brent, just after 10pm.

He is from the Dartford area and was travelling towards the town when it happened.

Police spokesman James Walker said: "No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the incident.

"Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit are making enquiries to establish how the motorcyclist came off his bike and are appealing for anyone with information to get in contact.

"CCTV has been collected from residential addresses in the area. Anyone with dash cam footage which captures the incident, or the moments leading up to it, is asked to make contact with officers."
