A 33-year-old blind skier will attempt to break a world record on Sunday - weather permitting.

Kevin Alderton, from Heather Drive, Dartford, hopes to set a new blind speed skiing record in the Flying Kilometer in Les Arcs, France.

He lost his sight seven years ago following a street attack in London and is being sponsored by St Dunstan's, the charity which supports disabled ex-servicemen in achieving their dreams.
