Driver face delays at the Dartford Crossing this afternoon after a vehicle broke down

Motorists face delays at the Dartford Crossing this afternoon after a vehicle broke down.

The traffic was being held back temporary on the held on M25 anticlockwise between Junction 1A the A282/A206 Crossways Boulevard and the B3228 for Swanscombe and Junction 31 A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock Road and A282 Dartford Crossing.

The vehicle broke down at about 1pm and is effecting motorists heading towards the crossing.

There are delays at the Dartford Crossing this afternoon

However, traffic queues are now said to be easing.

The incident comes after two lanes of the QEII Bridge were closed on the Essex side of the crossing this morning after a man threatening to jump from the structure.

Officers could be seen on the bridge trying to talk the man down.

They later persuaded him to come down and he was said to receiving medical treatment.

Police later talked the man down safely.
