Cannabis found in pickled cucumber jars leads to arrests in Dartford

Two men have been arrested after cannabis was found in two pickled cucumber jars.

The detained men were a 25-year-old man from Dagenham and a 32-year-old man from Thamesmead.

They were arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and possessing cannabis.

The jars were uncovered after officers stopped a van near Watling Street, Dartford, yesterday.

Inside the van a variety of vehicle parts that were believed to be stolen were found.

A nearby storage unit was also searched and the class B drug was uncovered.

Both men have been released, pending further inquiries.
