Cars burned in repeat attacks in Dartford

Police are appealing for information after cars were burnt in a serious of overnight attacks around Dartford.

Officers received a report a car was on fire in St Edmunds Road, at the junction with Thames Gate, Dartford, at 4.20am this morning - and believe the cause of the fire is suspicious.

Cars were also set alight overnight in Hilltop Gardens and Temple Hill.

Commenting online, witnesses near Temple Hill said the were woken by what sounded like fireworks, followed by the sound of a car horn and banging - and later discovered that arsonists had "petrol bombed" two cars.

Officers are conducting enquiries into the circumstances and ask anyone with information to call police on 01474 366149, quoting 13-199, or the anonymous Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555111.
