Three boys have been arrested after cars vandalised in Hawley Road, Dartford

Three teenagers have been arrested after a number of cars were vandalised overnight.

The cars were damaged in Hawley Road, Dartford, and officers were called to the scene during the early hours and arrested the trio.

At least 15 vehicles were damaged and some had their wing mirrors broken off, while others had their windscreens smashed.

Windscreen wipers were also broken off during the incident.

One woman who lives in the road and didn't want to be named, said: "I heard a loud bang and looking out the window and saw two young men kicking cars and breaking off wing mirrors.

There was lots of banging and one had a white top on the other had a red top on.

They have smashed my elderly neighbours' windscreen, he is in his 90s and his car is his only means of transport."

The vandalism was carried out in Hawley Road, in Dartford

Vicki Foster, police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 12.30am to a report of a disturbance in Water Mill Way, South Darenth, where a house party was reported to have got out of hand.

"Officers attended and searched the area and at around 1.40am a report was received that a number of cars had been damaged in Hawley Road, Dartford.

"Police searched the area and at around 2.20am they arrested three teenage boys aged 14, 15 and 16-years-old on suspicion of criminal damage."

The teenagers are currently in police custody while police inquiries continue.
