A late Johnnie Jackson penalty gave high-flying Charlton a 3-2 win over struggling Yeovil at The Valley on Saturday.

Jackson had opened the scoring after 10 minutes, before Andrew Williams equalised for the visitors with a little over quarter of an hour gone.

Therry Racon restored the Addicks' lead in the 26th minute and the 2-1 scoreline remained until 10 minutes into the second half, when Charlton's Gary Doherty put the ball into his own net.

The home side were reduced to 10 men when Christian Dailly was shown a straight red card for a dangerous tackle.

But, rather than capitalise on the sending off, Yeovil also went down to 10 men when Paul Huntington fouled inside the penalty area.

Jackson scored from the spot to move Charlton up to second in npower League One, just four points adrift of Brighton, who were held to a 2-2 draw by Bristol Rovers.
