Charlton Athletic picked up their first win in 11 games after coming from behind to beat play-off chasers Leyton Orient at The Valley.

Second half goals from Paul Benson, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Jose Semedo saw Chris Powell's side register their first win since his fourth game in charge.

Former Charlton man Scott McGleish gave the in-form visitors the lead on 16 minutes as he headed Orient ahead from close range. There was a suspicion of offside against the veteran striker following an initial effort by midfielder Dean Cox.

Charlton levelled the scores five minutes after break through Paul Benson. Bradley Wright-Phillips (pictured) saw his shot spilled by Orient goalkeeper Jamie Jones and Benson quickly pounced on the rebound to tap home.

Leyton Orient thought they had retaken the lead soon after when Jimmy Smith headed home. He raced away to celebrate with the 1,500 travelling fans only to find his effort ruled out for a foul.

Moments later, Jamie Jones had a day to forget as he threw the ball out from the Orient back-line and straight on to Wright-Phillips' chest on the edge of the area. The frontman cooly took the ball on and slotted past the embarassed keeper.

Three minutes from full time, Jose Semedo sealed all three points for the Addicks latching on to a cross from substitute Michael Stewart to head home from a couple of yards out. Orient still had time to hit the woodwork twice in the remaining minutes, first from Stephen Dawson and then from a Dean Cox free kick.
