Child hurt in Shurlock Avenue, Swanley

A boy has been taken to hospital after falling from his bike.

The emergency services were called to Shurlock Avenue, Swanley just before 2pm this afternoon.

It is thought the child, aged 11, suffered minor injuries when falling off his push bike in the street.

The air ambulance and the South East Coast Ambulance (Secamb) attended, along with police.

The air ambulance landed on a small park in nearby Alder Way.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called by Secamb just before 2pm to reports a boy aged 11 had fallen from his bike.

"He has been taken to hospital but is not reported to have serious injuries."
