Commuters using the Dartford Tunnel faced long delays following an earlier closure due to emergency repair works.

Those travelling from Kent into Essex could face queues and congestion on the M25 at J2 for the Darenth Interchange.

The earlier repair works took place between J1 (Swanscombe) and J31 (West Thurrock) and all lanes were reopened shortly after 7am.

The queues have now cleared.
