Cyclist taken to hospital after collision

A cyclist was taken to hospital with neck injuries after colliding with a car in Dartford.

The incident, which took place around 2pm on Sunday in Brent Lane, involved a 41-year-old man, who was taken to Darent Valley Hospital.

Witnesses described seeing the man being taken away in a stretcher whilst wearing a neck brace. Two ambulances and a police car attended.

A spokesman for Kent police said his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
