Ballet dancers took their show to a hospital ward to show young patients some of their moves.

Dancers from the English Youth Ballet took time out of rehearsals for their forthcoming show, Sleeping Beauty, at The Orchard Theatre, Dartford, to visit Willow Ward at Darent Valley Hospital.

Five talented dancers, aged 12 to 19, demonstrated how they warmed up prior to dancing and explained the terminology behind each movement.

Zuzia Kurzepa, 12, then showed the audience how a ballerina gets her feet prepared to wear pointe shoes before others performed a scene from the show.

The ballet will be performed tonight (Friday) at 7.30pm and tomorrow at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.
