Dartford manager Tony Burman takes his side to Boreham Wood on Saturday

Dartford have extended Fulham goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli’s loan for a further month.

The 20-year-old has produced a string of impressive performances in Darts’ climb to sixth place in Blue Square Bet Premier.

Saturday’s 4-0 win over Hereford was due to be his final appearance but manager Tony Burman, pictured, has agreed an extension with the Premier League side that will allow first-choice Louis Wells more time to recover from a hip injury.

Burman said: "There was no problem keeping Marcus for another month.

"He’s been excellent for us and is a talented young keeper who, judging by his performances, has a big future. Louis is back in training but we don’t have to rush him. We want him to be 100% right."
