Dartford underdogs for FA Trophy tie against Crawley Town

Dartford boss Tony Burman says he is not looking over his shoulder despite his side lying just three points outside the Blue Square Bet South relegation zone.

Darts have struggled for consistency in their debut season at this level, are yet to record back-to-back wins and have drawn six of their 15 games.

They travel to Blue Square Bet Premier title-chasers Crawley in the FA Trophy first round on Saturday but could find themselves level on points with the bottom three if league results elsewhere go against them.

The trip to Crawley will be Darts’ ninth cup game of the season after their heroics en route to a first round replay in the FA Cup at Port Vale.

Burman (pictured) said: "This is another cup competition where we will go there as the underdogs and they will be strong favourites, so the pressure is all on them.

"Crawley are one of the best, if not the best, of the non-league sides around at the moment. It will be difficult but we will be positive."

He added: "The players have done reasonably well and we are unfortunate to not have as many points on the board as we should have.

"We have drawn too many games. If we had managed to turn a couple of draws into wins, then the table would look a lot different. I am not paying too much attention to where we are in the league in relation to the bottom, I just know we have to start putting points together."

Burman has a fully-fit squad to pick from for both games.
