Motorists are experiencing delays in north Kent after a vehicle towing a trailer spilled rubble and soil onto the carriageway.

The trailer was on the A2 eastbound at Dartford, close to the M25 junction 2 (Darenth Interchange) at 1.45pm when it shed its load.

Three lanes of traffic have been closed as police and traffic officers move the trailer to the hard shoulder.

Traffic is being diverted and drivers are expecting 15 minutes of delays.

Normal traffic conditions are expected at 4pm.
