There were heavy delays for motorists heading towards the Dartford Crossing.

Drivers were told to expect long delays on the M25 while trying to get over the Queen Elizabeth II bridge.

Some people were stuck in standstill traffic up to six miles out from the crossing on the anti-clockwise sliproad near the A282 from the A206 back to junction 3 for the M20.

It has since cleared.
