Driver cut free after crash in University Way, Dartford

A driver was cut free from a lorry after a crash in Dartford.

Police were called to a collision, reported to involve two lorries and a pedestrian on the A206 at 11.45pm last night.

The road was closed until 7am this morning.

Firefighters freed a lorry driver, who was trapped in his cab by his injuries.

Crews cut him out and passed him into the care of paramedics.

A man was taken to a local hospital with a suspected pelvis injury.

Brandon Baily, who lives close by, said residents were woken up by the crash.

He said he heard a loud bang and the apartments shook.

Crews left the scene at 00.35am.
