Drivers shot in face and arm with air weapon in Gravesend

Two boys have been arrested following reports motorists were shot in the face and arm with an air weapon.

The youngsters were taken into custody after two drivers were injured after being struck by pellets in Hill Rise, Darenth.

The offences - which also left the vehicles damaged - are alleged to have taken place between 4pm and 7pm on Saturday, July 2.

One of the drivers suffered an injury to his arm and the second needed hospital treatment after he was struck in the face.

Officers attended the scene and arrested a teenage boy at a nearby address.

A second boy was arrested the following day, when two air weapons were also seized.

Both suspects are currently on bail, pending further enquiries, to return to a police station on July 27.
