Forty firefighters tackle cornfield blaze in South Darenth

Around 40 firefighters have tackled a blaze near Dartford.

The fire broke out in a cornfield near New Road, South Darenth, earlier this afternoon.

The blaze, which spread to a nearby field and covered 10 acres, was put out at around 3.15pm.

Eight fire engines were sent to the scene.
