Four people were arrested after a Mini was stolen during a burglary.

The keys to the vehicle were taken from a home in Claremont Road, Hextable, at 3.30am on Monday.

The car was later found abandoned on the A2 near Darenth.

Police stopped the car at 11pm on the A2. Stock picture.

Officers subsequently arrested two men from Sidcup, aged 21 and 20, a 21-year-old man from Dartford and a 19-year-old man from Crayford.

All four were later bailed to return to the police station on Thursday, February 15.

It is unclear whether the burglary is linked to a similar theft of two cars from a property in New Ash Green at around the same time.
