Fire crews had to cut a person out of their car after a four vehicle pile up in Oakfield Lane, Dartford

Fire crews had to cut a young man out of their car after a four vehicle pile up.

The crash outside North West Kent College in Oakfield Lane, Dartford, saw three walking wounded and one person trapped in their car.

Firefighters from Dartford were called out at 7.30pm and worked until 9pm to free the victim and help to clear the scene.

The man, in his early 20s, was placed in the care of paramedics and taken to hospital.

The roof of his car had to be removed.

Police were called to the scene and a spokesman said: "One person was taken to a London hospital for treatment, with a further three taken to a local hospital."
