Long delays on M25 by Dartford Tunnel after lorry crash near Lakeside

There are long delays on the M25 this morning after a lorry crash in the Dartford Tunnel.

All traffic was stopped at 7.40am as emergency services raced to the incident in the west tunnel coming into Kent from Essex.

A car and a lorry were involved in the collision.

The stretch from junction 1A A206 (Dartford) to junction 31 A1306 (Lakeside/Purfleet) was closed but all lanes reopened at around 8.15am.

There are still long delays on the stretch as the backlog is shifted.
