The area of ancient woodland close to Farningham Village is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and one of the most valuable areas of woodland in Kent.

A spokesman for Sevenoaks council said: “The car park is owned by Farningham Parish Council and we are assisting them to clear up the site as soon as possible.

“Our environmental enforcement team has also visited the site to collect evidence as part of our investigation into this incident.
