Inquest opens into death of Michael Crampton of The Pisdicables and James Montegriffo after Farningham crash

The inquests into the deaths of two men who died in a car crash in Farningham have been opened and adjourned.

Coroner Roger Hatch heard at the inquest in Maidstone that Michael Crampton had been driving a Citroen Berlingo on April 29, when it was in a head-on collision with a Vauxhall Insignia.

James Montegriffo was a front-seat passenger in Mr Crampton’s vehicle.

A post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Crampton, 23, of James Road, Dartford, died from massive head injuries.

Mr Montegriffo, also 23, who was said to be from Engineer Lane, Gibraltar, died from multiple fractures and damage to his spinal cord.

Mr Crampton was the keyboard player in band The Pisdicables.

Eight other people were injured in the accident.
