A thief who stole more than £50,000 of jewellery during a raid in Bluewater has been jailed for five years.

Goldsmiths jewellery store was targeted by three men in a break-in on June 28.

A fourth man was driving a red Volvo estate car which was dumped in Joydens Wood, Dartford and later recovered by police dogs and helicopters.

David Mays, of Bexleyheath, admitted aggravated burglary at Maidstone Crown Court today.
