There are delays on the Dartford Tunnel approach due to a load spillage.

The incident occurred on the entry slip at junction 1A near Bob Dunn Way and the Crossing this morning.

Its affecting vehicles moving along the anticlockwise carriageway of the A282 –which forms part of the M25 orbital network– and two lanes were temporarily closed.

Long queues formed for more than three miles back past junction two for the Darenth Interchange.

Traffic now appears to be coping well but there continues to be some congestion near junction 1B.
