A man has been taken to hospital after a crash involving a motorbike on the A2.

The accident happened on the London-bound side near the exit for the Bean Interchange and Bluewater.

At one point, congestion stretched back to junction 1 of the M2 for Strood.

The road was closed earlier but all lanes have since been reopened. Delays had cleared by 10am.

A police spokesman said: "Kent Police received a report of a road traffic collision at 7.35am on Wednesday 18 January involving one motorcyclist on the A2 Londonbound at Bean.
