A man has been taken to hospital after crashing into the central reservation of the M25 this morning.

Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the accident between junctions 4 and 5 clockwise near Swanley at 6am.

The incident caused long delays but traffic is now reported to have returned to normal.

Ambulance crews treated the driver for back pain before taking him to Princess Royal University Hospital.

There were no other passengers in the vehicle.
