Traffic is at a standstill from the tunnel itself back to junction 2 for the A2.

Motorists are also having to queue on the exit junction to get onto the motorway due to the congestion.

Earlier today there was also slow moving traffic in both directions at junction 3 of the Swanley interchange where an accident had blocked part of the clockwise junction.

However, all lanes have since reopened.

It comes ahead of a night-time closure of one of the Crossing's tunnels.

The east tunnel will be shut between 10pm tonight and 5am tomorrow.

More as we get it.
