A man has admitted having an out-of-control dog after a series of vicious dog attacks in Dartford.

Neil Sookoo, 35, of Kirby Road, Dartford, was arrested after three attacks which left three men with bite wounds. Police said the dog, a large brown and white coloured American Bulldog, is currently in kennels.

On Friday, February 11 Sookoo was unable to restrain the dog as it attacked a Golden Retriever on East Hill. The dog needed veterinary care for its injuries.

Four days later the dog began biting a man in an alleyway off East Hill in an unprovoked attack. The victim was bitten on his hands, arms and thigh before Sookoo grabbed the dog by its collar.

On Tuesday, March 1 the dog was stunned by a police Taser gun when it attacked two men in Great Queen Street.

Both men suffered bite wounds to their legs, hands and arms.

Sookoo was also charged with the production of cannabis after police searched his address on Tuesday.

He pleaded guilty to three offences of having a dog dangerously out of control and one of production of cannabis.

Sookoo was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court at a later date.
