Man charged with a public order offence after armed police arrested him in West Hill, Dartford

A man has been arrested by armed police after a disturbance in a flat.

Police were called at around 4.10am on Saturday January 11 to West Hill, Dartford.

The road was closed while police arrested Dean Fynes, who lives in the street.

Fynes, 30, has been charged with a public order offence - using threatening words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress.

One witness, who wished to remain anonymous, said at the time: “All going off in Dartford this morning, 16 police cars and armed police up by West Hill.”

The road was still closed between the A2018, Shepherds Lane, and Spital Street at 9am.

Fynes will appear before magistrates on February 17.
