A man was attacked in front of his family as he sat in a shopping centre foodcourt.

The 36-year-old, who is from London, suffered cuts and bruising to his face following the attack at the Wintergarden foodcourt in Bluewater.

He was eating with his family when a man wearing a black top and dark blue jeans verbally abused him and punched him.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault and have described the attacker as 5ft 7in tall, slim and aged between 20 and 30 with a cut to his forehead.
